Hello again.  Today, I’m going to talk about a subject that has a lot of people closed-mouthed:  halitosis.  Bad breath has killed many a night of romance.  It’s also cut short more than one business conversation.  

That’s why I love parsley.  This familiar herb is used as a garnish on many plates, but unfortunately, it usually remains uneaten.  Few people realize that this green, curly herb is high in nutrients, has many health benefits, and freshens your breath, too.

Was Kermit the Frog talking about a healthy diet when he said ‘It’s not easy being green’?  Perhaps.  For many people, a major challenge in healthy eating is making dark leafy greens palatable and digestible.  You see, greens have tough cellulose fibers that need to be chewed very thoroughly. The ‘Hot’ Color in Smoothies is GREEN

If you’re like a lot of people, ‘green’ isn’t the first color you think of when you think of smoothies.  That’s because for the second half of the 20th Century, a smoothie meant a sweet blended beverage made with fruit, fruit juice, ice, milk, and sugar. Theoretically, these smoothies made for a healthy breakfast or a healthy snack.  In reality, commercial smoothies packed a lot more calories and fat than nutrition.

In my last post, I was talking about my experience with a Green Juice fast.  Let me tell you more...

One of the reasons I especially like Green Juice when I’m fasting is that it’s a ‘quick fix.’  All I have to do is grab a few ingredients, chop them up, and then toss them into the juicer for a few minutes of whirring and whizzing.  So I never have to worry that I don’t have time to give my body the nutrition it needs.
