Many people crave chocolate when they are stressed.  And there’s a reason for that.  Researchers have found that eating chocolate, the number one food craved by American women, causes the brain to release endorphins, chemicals that make us feel good.

Unfortunately, the processed sugar in most chocolate can also give you a ‘sugar rush,’ followed by a ‘sugar crash.’  Raw Cacao, on the other hand is high in magnesium, anandamide and tryptophan, which are known to enhance one’s mood and induce a feeling of well-being and happiness.  Moreover, with cacao’s soaring levels of antioxidants, you can feel good in every way about enjoying this tasty superfood.

A great way to enjoy raw cacao is in ‘nib’ form. Add nibs to brownie batter, toss a tablespoonful into your granola, or mix them into Banana Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. The bittersweet flavor is appealing to adults as well as kids, and everyone can enjoy the crunch that nibs add to a recipe.

Do you like chocolate dipped bananas?  Then you will love Banana Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Bananas make it rich, creamy, and sweet--there's no need for sweeteners, fats, or diary of any kind. Click here for the recipe.
