Yield: 2 1/2 cups, 2 servings

This smoothie is so sweet, you’ll hardly believe it’s loaded with dark leafy greens. Think of it as a green milkshake.

  • 2 frozen bananas, thawed for 5 minutes
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 apple, unpeeled and chopped
  • 8 leaves kale, chopped

  • cutting board
  • chef’s knife, 8-inch
  • measuring cups
  • blender
  • rubber spatula

Break the bananas into 2 or 3 pieces. Put all the ingredients in a blender and process on high speed until smooth. Serve immediately.

Hi Jennifer,
First, thank you for all the information, videos, books etc you put out.  I find them clear and simple and helpful.

I just had to pass this tip on to you.  Bananas that are separated, singly, not kept in a bunch last for a couple of weeks!  It works. I buy a marked down box of bananas at my grocery store.  I separate them all from the bunch and while they remain quite ripe, which I prefer, they do not get squishy and rotten.  I thought you would love this, I do!

You’ll find some intriguing points in time in this post but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There’s some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Fantastic write-up , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well
